Surfbag Sizes

Hey guys,

I wanted to personally let you all know that we are going to be reducing the number of surfboard bag sizes we carry going forward. No, it isn’t that we don’t love surf. In fact, it is the opposite. 

A Surfboard Bag was the first RAREFORM bag we ever made - by an auto-upholsterer over five years ago. RAREFORM began because we wanted to combine two of our passions into a business: surfing and sustaining our outdoor playground.  Our first wholesale accounts were surf shops, and we have had a fiercely loyal surf following since day one. We would not be where we are today without your unfailing support.  

In the past year, we have noticed more than 85% of our surfbags sold fell within eight different sizes (5’8” + 6’0” Retro Fish, 6’0” + 6’3” Shortboard, 7’0”, 8’0”, 9’0”, + 9’6” Longboard). We have also noticed that due to the amount of space surfbags take up in both our warehouse and at our manufacturing facilities, as well as the amount of time it takes our employees to hand cut each surfboard bag, we have been unable to use our space and time efficiently. This has led to logistical inflexibility with creating new bags.  Therefore, moving forward, we will only be offering the eight surf bag sizes above.

We understand this news might be disappointing to the 15% of our surf customers whose boards fall within the sizes we will not be offering, which is why we made them for you one last time.
